🔒 Privacy First: SwipeLanguage does not track you, does not show ads, and does not share your data with third parties. All your learning data stays on your device.

Introduction

SwipeLanguage ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Data We Collect

Stored Locally on Your Device Only

Learning Progress: Words learned, scores, accuracy, streaks, and session history
Language Preferences: Your selected language pairs, difficulty settings, and app preferences
Achievements: Unlocked achievements and milestone progress

Apple GameCenter (Optional)

GameCenter Profile: Your GameCenter display name and ID, used for leaderboards
Scores and Rankings: Your scores and leaderboard position (stored by Apple, not us)
GameCenter is entirely optional. The app works fully without it.

In-App Purchases

Purchase Status: Whether you have an active Premium subscription (stored locally)
All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details.

What We Do NOT Collect

No Advertising Identifier (IDFA): We do not use or request your advertising ID
No Tracking: We do not track you across apps or websites
No Ads: SwipeLanguage contains no advertisements of any kind
No Analytics: We do not use Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or any analytics service
No Personal Information: No name, email, phone number, or contact info required
No Location Data: We never request or access your location
No Account Required: The app works without registration or login
No Cloud Storage: Your learning data never leaves your device

Third-Party Services

Apple GameCenter (Optional)

If you are signed into GameCenter, your scores and achievements may appear on leaderboards. This data is stored and managed entirely by Apple.

All in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We do not process or store any payment information.

        No Google AdMob: SwipeLanguage does not use Google AdMob or any other advertising network. No advertising data is collected at any time.
    

Data Storage and Security

Local Only: All learning data is stored on your device using iOS secure storage
No Servers: We do not operate any servers that store your personal data
Version Check: The app may contact a public URL to check for available updates. No personal data is sent during this request.
Full Control: Delete the app to permanently remove all locally stored data
iOS Protection: Your data is protected by iOS encryption and security features

Your Rights

Access and Deletion

View Your Data: All your data is visible directly in the app (Stats screen)
Delete Your Data: Delete the app from your device to remove everything
GameCenter: Manage your GameCenter data through iOS Settings → Game Center

GDPR (EU Users)

CCPA (California Users)

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. All your rights under CCPA are already satisfied by our privacy-first approach.

Children's Privacy

SwipeLanguage is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. We do not collect personal information from any users, including children under 13. No account creation is required to use the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and displaying a notice in the app for significant changes.
